Simple. Stylish. Neat. Exceptional brushing.
Philips Sonicare DiamondClean electric toothbrush. Simple. Stylish. Neat. Exceptional brushing.
I have been comparing Philips Sonicare DiamondClean to my other older Sonicare unit with uv light sanitizer and slightly newer competitiorGenius and manual c.360 for the past week (im not allowed to mentioned other brands in this review). And honestly, I’d prefer to use Sonicare DiamondClean at all times because it does the job so well. With such variety on the shelfs its hard to choose that perfect brush and trust into its efficiency.
And why do you ask I still use manual? No I don’t forget to charge my brushes, and Sonicare DiamondClean battery lasts for weeks, its that sonic zoom of a functioning toothbrush (even quite content zoom of my new Sonicare DiamondClean), still scares my dogs into barking fits. And if your dog is 100lbs and has a sonic boom of a bark, and you get up 5.30 am so you can walk said dogs for 1.5miles, you’d do anything in order not to wake up entire household. So if im quick and shut the door before my Velcro pets, I indulge!
This toothbrush is packaged and presented a fine tool should. Its quite stylish, fits great in my hand, not bulky at all or heavy, has quite zoom, the glass charged (ever so more convenient then my previous Sonicare charging stations), I like the color, girly girl that I am. But it also comes in black, silver, and white colors. The charging station consists of a metal ring into which what appears to be a glass is inserted. Glass can also be used for rinsing and not only charging. The brush also comes with a travel case that can hold a Sonicare and 2 replacement brushes. Because it’s a travel case, it has a usb port and you can charge Sonicare from portable charger or a laptop.
As soon as the Sonic care is touched, the menu lights up. The material of the handle is pleasant to the touch, I had a brushes that felt sticky or gummy, this one is just nonslip. My handle is powder pink with milky white led’s and chrome accents. All parts are easy to clean and to rinse, there are no deep grooves where dirt can build up, the glass charger is glass, and is dishwasher safe.

The factory packaging included 3 types of toothbrush heads (Premium Gum Care brush, Premium White brush head). They have codes on the head, and I have to lookup what which is which, but I’ve chosen Premium Plaque C3 for my twice a day cleaning.
Cleaning is simple – when you attach a toothbrush head it automatically selects a cleaning mode. So far I have tried whitening (you can override the default mode by pushing the button under the power button before you turn the brush on) and stuck to Deep Clean. You can change the intensity of the cleaning by pushing the button under the power button while the brush is running, and there are three levels to choose from. Lastly, if you push too hard the bottom of the toothbrush will light up to let you know to ease up, which is impossible to see, by the way, if you are not in front of the mirror. After the cleaning cycle has completed the toothbrush will automatically turn off, or you can manual shut it down by pressing the power button. Warning – do NOT apply toothpaste and turn on the brush until its in place in your mouth, the toothpaste will be all over you and walls in fine white spray if you do!
Small toothbrush heads are easy fit for all types of mouths and is easily maneuvered, the buzz is not unpleasant. The results are Sonicare clean. My teeth feel cleaner, I never had to brush twice because they did not feel right. But this is consistent with my other Sonicare brush. As I have mentioned before, its been just little over 1 week of me using it and I cant say that results are more dramatic that my older Sonicare brush, nor did I use tong cleaning or gum massaging.
This model has a built in Bluetooth (and what tool does not now days? Even my meat smoker has a Bluetooth!) You can download optional App from Google play or Itunes. It promises that
“ With the Philips Sonicare app you can see where you’re brushing, navigate trouble spots, and get real-time guidance on the right pressure and brushing motion. All from the palm of your hand.”
Im sorry, but 1. Bluetooth kills my Samsung galaxy s7 battery and 2. There is no way im staring into my phone while brushing my teeth. Besides 3. Reviews on google play for the app is only 2.5 out of 5 *’s. I’ll install and use it when rating reaches 4+, otherwise it will just be another clutter app
Overall, this is an excellent new addition to Sonicare family of brushes, will appeal to all levels of dedicated followers of new and improved technology and will do a consistent remarkable job of teeth cleaning!
