We moved into an open plan office. Beforehand we were in interconnected rooms, so could close doors. The noise in the new office was untenable. We do most of our advice on the phone, and had just been using iPhones. Turns out our clients could hear all the surrounding conversations when we were speaking to them. And it was very difficult for us to concentrate on our conversation when we could hear our neighbour talking. These headphones cut out most of the noise, and the noise cancelling microphone means that not only can clients not hear other conversations, they can't hear my typing on the computer at the same time! Very comfortable, easy to use. Good value for money.
This headset is perfect for gaming on the PC; and for enjoying streaming services from your laptop. I've been utilizing it for the games I play on Steam and I no longer am bothering my family with my gaming volume. The mic boom works well and everyone on my online gaming group had no trouble hearing me. The battery life is unreal as well - it holds a charge for a long time. As far as using it for my iPhone XR, it answers calls perfectly and my music has never sounded better! I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a very versatile headset for an out of this world audio experience!
Charge time out of the box was about an hour. From low battery warning, it was about two hours. Between music, phone and standby in my regular usage, I get around 18 hours between charges. The controls are logical and function very well. The pause function even works across many apps.
The sound quality for music is amazing. It rivals vintage audio equipment, something I did not think possible with Bluetooth. I have a Sansui AU9500 amp and Koss Pro 4 headphones, and they sound nearly identical. The highs are crisp and the bass is warm and full. I can almost feel the bass! I have certain songs across many formats that I use for testing (mp3, mp4, live feed, YouTube and on first listening, I got chills. I never expected it from Bluetooth headsets. Sirius/XM and Pandora sound nearly CD quality. Very impressive!
I work in a manufacturing environment, producing engines for the trucking industry, and it can get quite loud. The earpieces blocked just enough noise to enjoy the music, but let through enough to be safe. Phone calls at work were very clear both for me and the caller. The people on the other end heard little to no background noise.
The controls are logical and function well with many apps. The only thing that could be better is moving the mic boom to the left ear. It's just a matter of preference, but I'm used to a left ear mic boom.
I am really happy with my Voyager 4200 series, they are the best headset I own. The audio is great, they are super comfortable to wear for long periods of time and all the feature buttons are convenient and easy to use. When speaking with my customers on this headset the audio comes through crisp and clear. I was also surprised how far away from my base I could go and I never worried about losing connection. The battery life on this headset is also fantastic when I put in a long day I never had to worry if they could make it through the day, they just kept on going. I couldn't be happier with my decision to get these, Thanks for another great product.
I don't normally use on-ear headphones but these made me take another look. The sound quality was great once I figured out which connection to use (see photo. Initially, I let the system choose the hands free connection. I found the connection had some noise in the audio. However, when I changed to the stereo setting--OH MY! The sound quality was awesome.
I am using a HP Omen 17 in. gaming laptop. I use the built-in bluetooth rather than the dongle that came with the headphones. Connected and stays connected every time.
In addition to gaming, I use this laptop to create video tutorials and these headphones will be my go to's for that task. The microphone had good quality and sensitivity.
The build on these headphones was very good. I was concerned about the padding on the head band on opening the box. However, due to the lightness of these headphones it wasn't an issue. These headphones have changed my mind in on ear headphones.
This is my first wireless headset that I have used so I wasnt sure about what to expect however I can confidently say that I am very satisfied with this product. The set is stupidly easy and it worked well with both my laptop and cell phone. After about an hour of charge I had close to 11 hours of talk time, which the headset reminds you of charge time every time you turn it on so you wont worry about a dead battery suddenly stopping your enjoyment. My only gripe with the headset is I wish that there was an option to remove the mic arm when you dont intend to talk but you can just place it upwards.
Once again I am completely amazed at the product offered to me it is absolutely the greatest one for me to date i love it WOW plantronics to me is absolutely the greatest bluetooth offered on the market today iv had others but nothing even comes close to what you guys have to offer, once again thank you very much im grateful.
What a great timesaver the V4220 is! I have my laptop and two phones connected so Google Meeting’s, phone calls and music are all available all the time!
Was skeptical about on ear versus over ear which I use for music however, these sound great. The music is very rich and has a nice bass tone to it. In meetings I do not hear any noise or interference as I did with other headsets. Others in the meeting can hear me clearly. Would be nice if it had noise cancelling but really not needed. Wish they came with a hard case or at least one was offered as an accessory.
Great headset. Quality of phone calls and media audio is SUPERB. Light on the head. I currently have the binaural headset (covers both ears and love the quality of the sound. Great bass. Does not disconnect and the range is VERY Good. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a higher end headset to complete your phone calls with. This is a professional headset!
Voyager 4200 As a long term users of the Voyager Focus and I’ve since dished out hundreds when building contact centres and new office’s I was very interested to see what the 4200 was like. It’s a great budget Bluetooth headset, while not as polished as the focus as it lacks some of the build and sound quality, it’s still a very good headset. I had some comments to say the boom was a little intrusive compared to the shorter boom on the Voyager. As a bonus I would say the earpads are more comfy than the focus, so long term use won’t be an issue.
I highly recommend this headset if you want a good budget Bluetooth unit with the trademark Plantronics build quality on it.
If you’re planning on rolling this headset out I would highly suggest you also purchase Plantronics Manager Pro software, or the Plantronics HUB software to open up more options on the headset and have an easy way to upgrade firmware.
Voyager 4210 As per the 4200, this is great budget Bluetooth monaural headset. The build quality is great, and sound is as good as you can get from a monaural unit. I had a user on our main contact centre who didn’t like using binaural units as they found them uncomfortable, and often had to keep one ear on the office as well as the caller on the phone. They’ve found this headset a fantastic option and are a very happy customer.
If you have a customer who insists on a monaural headset then I highly recommend this one as you won’t find anything better.
I started carrying these headphones during all of my trips. I've had joined multiple calls at airports, while commuting, public areas and no one has complained about the quality of my calls or background noise.
Now they are a MUST for all my work trips.
As an opportunity I would say that the design could be a bit more compact, also they could be a bit more lightweight.
I would of given this product a 5 out of 5 if it wasn't for the price (expensive), the "standard" mic quality, and the packaging. Other then that the battery life on the bluetooth headphones are sure to last you through a good session of listen to music or even playing video games. A feature that I just can get enough of in this is the fact that not only does the headset glow colors, so does the USB. Which to me, it very cool and will really catch the eye of anyone around me.
The Voyager 4200 UC is a Bluetooth headset that has some great sound from lows to highs. I do notice that music with heavy distortion or edm with alot of tracks in it seems to.muddy up the sounds some. The headset band is durable similarly to the headset band on their gaming RIG lime of headphones. I have a concern I regards to the swivels or pivots next to the earphones as these tend to be a typical breaking point on most other headsets. This concern has not been verified to happen on the headset I received. The headset does suffer lag outside of calling and music. So if you plan to use this for any gaming, it is best you hit up the RIG line. I tested the mic and the people I called knew I was on a Bluetooth. The setup is easy as pie.
Sound: 4 out of 5 Bluetooth: 3 out of 5 Durability: 5 out of 5
The Bluetooth could have been better if they used o e of the newer Dolby codecs.
Sound seems attributed to the response time on the speakers from expansion to retraction of the cone.
Having had worked in a call center before, bi-aural headsets are every day necessity. The Voyager 4200 UC meets all the features to satisfy the environment of a call enter or just as a Bluetooth headset. The headset is light, with just enough foam seal around the ear to block noise and just good enough of bass to give additional depth in the conversation or for music. For the market price, this headset deserves FIRST try.
